The outsole is not only cemented but also stitched, creating a formidable, dual-layered bond that ensures exceptional longevity and steadfast performance, even under the most punishing conditions. An integrated nitrile rubber scuff cap provides a powerful shield against abrasion, protecting the toe area from damage and significantly extending the life of the boot. Stay dry and comfortable with a waterproof yet highly breathable construction, which works by preventing water from entering whilst still allowing heat and moisture vapour to escape through a system of microscopic breathe holes. Safety is paramount, and the RF860 Terrain delivers with a lightweight fibreglass toecap, offering robust protection against impacts up to 200 joules. A penetration resistant Protective insert, developed by Activ-Step® Footwear Components, adds an impenetrable layer of defence against sharp objects without compromising flexibility. Equipped with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) specification, this boot safely dissipates static electricity a critical safety feature in industries where a sudden static spark could ignite flammable gases, vapours, or dust, potentially causing explosions or fires. It also protects sensitive electronic equipment from damage.
