Designed in Derbyshire

A specialist's approach
to safety footwear.

Rock Fall is a second-generation, family-owned business based in Derbyshire. Its focus is footwear: understanding how people work, then developing the protection, fit and construction to support them.

That means working with component specialists, industry associations and the people who wear the products. The wider range spans everyday safety trainers and leather shoes through to boots developed for demanding and specialist environments.

It is this combination of British design, practical feedback and material knowledge that gives Rock Fall its distinctive approach.

Inside the footwear

The details you feel.
The protection you rely on.

A safety shoe is a system of components. Rock Fall combines protective construction with cushioning, upper materials and outsoles chosen for the intended use.

Activ-Step® comfort

Footbeds and sole components help manage the impact of a working day. Apollo, for example, pairs an Activ-Step® Cushion Max footbed with a cushioned midsole and an Adherence rubber outsole.

Protection by design

Selected styles use fibreglass toecaps and penetration-resistant inserts; others use steel. The right choice comes from the model's tested specification and your workplace requirements.

Materials with a purpose

Alder combines a breathable upper containing TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres with a midsole containing BLOOM® algae-derived material. These are component choices with a practical role in comfort and construction.

Features vary by style. Check the individual product specification before choosing footwear for a particular task.

Read the specification.
Choose with confidence.

Different markings describe different tests. Always match the exact model's certification to your workplace risk assessment.

Manufacturer's standards guide ↗

Water repellent or waterproof?

A water-repellent upper is not the same as a waterproof footwear construction. For sustained wet conditions, check for the model's whole-footwear water-resistance specification.

Slip resistance is tested performance

SR and the older SRC marking relate to different test schemes. Consider the actual floors and contaminants in your workplace when selecting footwear.

ESD and electrical hazard are different

ESD footwear helps control static discharge around sensitive components. It is not electrical-shock protection. Specialist electrical-hazard footwear has a separate purpose and specification.

Materials & responsibility

Look closer at
what goes into a shoe.

Rock Fall's material development includes recycled textiles, selected bio-based components and leather from Leather Working Group-rated tanneries. The useful detail is in each product's component specification.

These are specific material choices, rather than a claim that every style has the same environmental credentials.

Recycled textiles

Apollo uses recycled polyester in its upper, lining and laces. Rock Fall identifies the recycled content and certification in the model's technical information.

Selected bio-based components

Alder incorporates BLOOM® algae-derived material in its midsole formulation and Solum Verdura™ additive technology in its rubber outsole. These components are not wholly bio-based.

Verified vegan options

Apollo and Alder are among the styles verified by The Vegan Society. This applies to named products; leather models such as Brooklyn and Dusk are a different choice.
