Workwear should fit the person doing the job. Choosing a smaller size in a different cut does not always provide a comfortable or practical solution.
Compare shape as well as size
Look at the manufacturer’s measurements and the garment cut. Check sleeve and leg length, waist position and room for movement. Invite wearers to try the clothing while carrying out normal movements for their role.
Keep protective requirements central
The required performance applies whatever the garment’s fit description. Check that the chosen size and model provide the specification needed, and that it works with the rest of the PPE.
Include footwear and layers
Footwear fit, seasonal layers and access to pockets all matter to a usable uniform. Do not assume every woman will prefer the same cut or style. Offering a choice within an approved range can help resolve different fit needs.
Plan for repeat orders
Record the product code and size that worked for each wearer, with appropriate handling of those records. Check current size availability before ordering. For product choices, use the relevant category and its fit or gender filters where available, then compare the individual size guides.
