How to Compare Workwear Brands

A brand can help you find a consistent range, but the individual garment still needs to earn its place in your uniform. Compare products against the job rather than choosing on reputation alone.

Start with the role

Write a short brief covering working conditions, appearance, movement and laundering. Add any protective specification that is required. Use it to shortlist comparable products across brands.

Compare the details

Look at fabric composition, weight, construction, pocket layout, size range and care instructions. Features vary within a brand’s own collection, so avoid assuming that every jacket or polo performs alike.

Try the fit

Size labels are not identical between manufacturers. Use each product’s size guide and gather wearer feedback before a larger order. Check the garment while sitting, reaching and wearing the expected layers.

Plan a consistent range

Consider whether matching colours and suitable alternatives are available for different roles. Keep your approved codes and branding details for repeat orders, and confirm current availability when replenishing the range.

Our supplier-focus pages offer a route into the brands in the catalogue; product pages provide the detail for a buying decision.
