Featuring a dual cemented and stitched nitrile rubber outsole, fibreglass toecap rated to 200 joules, Activ Step® penetration resistance, ESD protection, waterproof breathable construction and a natural rubber Cushion Max footbed delivering superior shock absorption and fatigue reduction.

Description

Experience the ultimate in rugged durability with the RF880 Exploration, a heavy-duty rigger boot engineered for extreme performance and safety. Built to last in the most demanding conditions, its supreme durability starts with an outsole that is both cemented and stitched, creating a formidable, dual-layered bond for exceptional longevity and steadfast performance. The boot's integrated, moulded nitrile rubber scuff cap provides a powerful shield against abrasion, protecting the toe area and significantly extending the boot's lifespan. A waterproof yet highly breathable construction ensures your feet stay dry and comfortable by preventing water from entering while allowing heat and moisture vapour to escape through a system of microscopic breathe holes. The RF880 Exploration is equipped with a lightweight fibreglass toecap, offering robust protection against impacts up to 200 joules, and an exclusive penetration resistant protective insert from Activ-Step® Footwear Components. This impenetrable layer of defence against sharp objects is achieved without sacrificing the boot's crucial flexibility. Finally, the boot is equipped with an ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) specification, a critical safety feature that safely dissipates static electricity. This is especially vital in volatile environments where a sudden static spark could lead to catastrophic explosions. It also protects sensitive electronic equipment from damage. Built to meet the rigorous demands of the offshore oil and gas industry, the RF880 Exploration's robust and durable features make it the ideal choice for any heavy-duty industrial applications where toughness is non-negotiable.

We guide our materials choices with our published Better Materials Framework, which sets out the criteria a material must meet.
